Who we are
Tanks On Site designs, fabricates and installs fuel and chemical storage across Australia, from our workshop at 1 Yarrunga Street, Prestons NSW 2170. Where this policy says "we", "us" or "our", it means Tanks On Site.
If you have a question about your privacy, call us on 1300 210 480 or email admin@tanksonsite.com.au.
Information we collect
We only collect what we genuinely need to quote, build and support your installation. Depending on how you deal with us, that may include:
- Your name, company, email address, phone number and the site or postal address the work relates to.
- Details of the site and the job: what is being stored, the capacity you need, access and ground conditions, and any standard or approval the installation has to meet.
- The content of your enquiry, and the quotes, drawings and correspondence that follow from it.
- Technical information collected automatically when you visit this website, such as your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you look at.
How we collect it
Most of it comes straight from you: a form on this site, a phone call, an email, or a site visit. Some technical information is collected automatically through cookies and our hosting provider’s server logs. Occasionally we receive information from a third party, such as a review you choose to leave on a platform like Google.
How we use your information
- To answer your enquiry and prepare a quote.
- To engineer, fabricate, deliver, install and commission your tank or fuel system.
- To issue compliance certificates and operating manuals, and to run the annual inspections, maintenance and warranty work that follow.
- To manage our relationship with you and support the installation over its life.
- To understand how this website is used so we can improve it.
- To meet our legal, regulatory and workplace safety obligations.
We only send marketing where you would reasonably expect it or have agreed to it, and you can opt out at any time.
Cookies and tracking
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Some make the site work, and the rest only run if you agree to them. We group them as:
- Necessary cookies, which make the website function, keep it secure and remember your cookie choice.
- Analytics cookies, which tell us which pages people read and where they leave, so we can fix what is not working.
- Marketing cookies, which let us measure whether our advertising reaches the right people.
Analytics and marketing cookies are served through Google Tag Manager and do not load until you accept them. You set your choice in the banner when you first arrive and can change it at any time from the cookie settings. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser, though parts of the site may then work less well. Our cookie policy explains this in more detail.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where it is needed to run the business and deliver your installation:
- Our own team, and the fabricators, transport operators and licensed installers who carry out your work.
- Suppliers and manufacturers, where a component, warranty claim or certification requires it.
- Technology providers that host this website, store our records, deliver our email and provide the analytics described above.
- Regulators, insurers or anyone else you ask us to deal with, or where we are required or authorised by law.
Overseas disclosure
Some of our technology providers store or process data on servers outside Australia, including in the United States and Singapore. Where that happens we take reasonable steps to see that your information is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as we need it for the purposes above. For an installation that usually means the life of the asset and its warranty, because compliance records, drawings and service history have to be produced years after handover. Tax and other legal obligations set the rest. When we no longer need it, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
Data security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so while we work hard to protect your information we cannot guarantee it absolutely.
Access and correction
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by calling 1300 210 480 or emailing admin@tanksonsite.com.au. We will respond within a reasonable time and there is normally no charge.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal information, tell us first so we can put it right. If our response does not satisfy you, you can take it to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated at the top. This version is dated 22 September 2026.
