Definition
What is a cube tank?
A cube tank is a compact self bunded fuel tank built in a cube rather than a cylinder, so it packs the most storage into the smallest footprint. Like any self bunded tank it is double-walled, with 110% spill containment welded in rather than built around it.
The difference is mobility. Forklift pockets and crane lifting eyes are part of the structure, and the unit is skid-mounted, so a cube tank is repositioned in minutes rather than decommissioned and rebuilt. That makes it the portable diesel tank of choice where the fuel has to follow the work.
Every unit ships pre-certified with complete compliance documentation, so it can move between job sites without a fresh site-specific assessment each time.
Sizing
Capacities and what they suit
Five standard sizes, all carrying the same 110% containment. Pick on what the plant on site actually burns in a week.
| Capacity | Typically specified for |
|---|---|
| 1,000L | Small equipment and tools |
| 2,000L | Medium construction crews |
| 3,000L | Earthmoving operations |
| 4,000L | Heavy machinery and plant equipment |
| 5,000L | Large-scale construction and mining sites |
Construction
How it is built
Heavy-duty steel with a protective coating, built for repeated lifting rather than a single permanent placement.
| Shell | Heavy-duty steel with protective coating |
| Containment | 110% secondary containment, integrated |
| Lifting | Forklift pockets and crane lifting eyes |
| Access | Lockable fill and dispensing points |

Process
Installation and ongoing support
Our engineers start by evaluating your site conditions and requirements, then the tank is specified to those exact needs. Certified installers handle the setup, and everything is tested and commissioned before handover.
Every installation is handed over with complete compliance certificates and operating manuals, which is what keeps the site audit-ready and the installation insurance-compliant. Professional engineering certification is available where a site or an insurer asks for it.
After handover we run annual compliance inspections, preventive maintenance programmes, emergency repairs, and upgrade or modification work, through an Australia-wide service network.
Applications
Where it is used
Cube tanks suit operations where the fuel has to follow the work rather than sit in one place.
